Annex 3 Description of the process:
Ø KDNO-800/200 air separation plant adopts the process of pressure nitrogen column with oxygen column, which is as following:
Ø The plant adopts the process of relux of waste nitrogen expanding, as well as pressure nitrogen column and oxygen column. Raw air enters air filter for removal of dust and other mechanical impurity, then it goes to screw air compressor to be compressed to about 0.75Mpa. After that, it goes to precooling unit via oil filter and cooler to be cooled to 8-10℃,then goes to MS purification system for absorbing of moisture, CO2 and CnHm.
Ø After purified, it goes to the main heat exchanger, which is cooled by cold reflux to saturated tempt. Then it flows to nitrogen rectification column, in where, air is separated to pure nitrogen and liquid air. Pure nitrogen is discharged from the top of column, then it is cooled to 12℃ by main heat exchanger. After that, it goes out of the cold box. Liquid air at the bottom of nitrogen column is cooled by cooler and throttled to the top of nitrogen column as cold source of condensed rising nitrogen. Air rich in oxygen in the condenser evaporator flows to the main heat exchanger to be reheated, most of which is scuked to turbine expansion. After that, air rich in oxygen returns back to the cold edge of main heat exchanger, in where, it is reheated to 12℃. Then it flows out of the cold box as the regenerative air of M.S. purifier. Part of liquid air is sucked form condenser evaporator at the top of nitrogen column flows to the top of oxygen column as relux after being throttled. Oxygen is sucked from the bottom of oxygen column flows out of cold box after being cooled and reheated by cooler and main heat exchanger.
Ø For satety, please drain part of liquid oxygen periodically to avoid accumulation of hydrocarbon, especially acetylene.
