A mud pump (sometimes referred to as a mud drilling pump or drilling mud pump), is a reciprocating piston/plunger pump designed to circulate drilling fluid under high pressure (up to 7,500 psi (52,000 kPa)) down the drill string and back up the annulus. A mud pump is an important part of the equipment used for oil well drilling.Mud pumps can be divided into single-acting pump and double-acting pump according to the completion times of the suction and drainage acting in one cycle of the piston's reciprocating motion.

Why is the water well drilling rig not suitable for use in rainy days?
After the well is completed, it is necessary to pump water to check the results. Under normal circumstances, a large draw down pumping can be done. For large wells with water inflow from the shaft wall, the water inlet hole and inverted filter layer of the shaft wall must be arranged according to the design requirements, and the water inlet hole shall be prevented from being blocked during construction. The filter material enclosure at the aquifer shall meet the requirements, the backfill shall have a certain super elevation, and the frozen soil in the backfill in winter shall not exceed 15%.
